A touch of colour and sunshine on a grey winters day.

Rondeau Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada.
September 2010.
Monarch butterflies roosting overnight during migration.

The monarch is the only butterfly known to make a two-way migration as birds do. Unlike other butterflies that can overwinter as larvae, pupae, or even as adults in some species.

Lots more grey days forecast over the next two weeks.
