Momma's got a brand new bug.

Waiting to feed the young in the nest.
We have a nest in our carport that has been used by robins for the past 4 years.

When we walk by one of the parents chips to warn the youngsters to keep hidden.

Water snake.

I believe this is a northern water snake but I could easily be wrong. It was headed away from shore towards the other side of the bay, a distance of about 3 km - 1.8 miles. Rondeau Provincial Park, June 21, 2023.
