We were out on the boat cruising the edge of the marsh when we saw a number of least sandpipers.
There were solitary and spotted sand pipers as well as a lesser yellow legs.

When we start seeing these shore birds it is an indication that the end of summer isn't to far off.

As much as I love summer, I really look foreward to season changes. I wouldn't want to live in a place without distinct seasons.

I am a shorebird idiot. Is there a support group for me?

It is the beginning of the end, we saw 8 species of shore birds while out on the boat last night.
