Not what it looks like.
We saw these in Australia and I assumed they were domestic chickens/roosters.
They aren't, they are called red jungle fowl and the are wild. According to Wikipedia " The Red Junglefowl (Gallus gallus) is a tropical member of the Pheasant family, and is widely believed to be a direct ancestor of the domestic chicken."
Sure was interesting seeing them wandering in the jungle.
